Druid Investigations is going to print!

Yes! That's right! the Kickstarter I was talking about in my last update was successful and the comic is now ready to be sent to print!

Also: This is my first post of 2016 so HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!

Things have been a little all over the place since the turn of the new year and I have been frantically trying to put this book together without screwing it up!

Seems like I have just about managed it *touch wood*

Got some cool new things to show you So I shall get to it!

I have recently joine a group on Facebook known as the Crafthulhu Collective. It's a bunch of awesomely talented folk who make some really cool shit and then make it available for purchase. The majority of whom are able to make stuff and not just cheat by drawing like I do :p
Every month there is a different theme which is done partly for fun and partly as a way to cross promote each others pages whilst potentially being able to make a little money from it.

This past month was Circus or "Under the Big Top" themed and boy did everyone knock it out of the park!
I took this as an opportunity to draw someone I hadn't considered before. I drew Captain Spaulding of Rob Zombie fame!
Here he is:

If you're interested in him, send me a message here on the Pencil Pirates Facebook Page.
The image is A4 in size drawn on 110gsm cartridge paper and coloured with Copic markers.
He can be yours for the small price of £25 and this INCLUDES Special delivery postage and packaging (Domestic and International)

If you like some of the other items in the Crafthulhu image above, you can check them all out on the below links!:

There are also some other pages who normally take part but weren't able to this month. Check out their pages here:

Everyone is talented and lovely so hit them up! They (As do I) take commissions!

Now, with the new comic due to come out very soon, I realised I needed a banner. Something to have behind me at my table so that I wouldn't get lost amidst the other awesome creators that so often populate these cool conventions. It took a lot of thinking on but eventually I came up with something I was very happy with. It was this bad boy:

I think it turned out pretty nice! Killian is the character in the front and has a very different colour scheme to those in the background so that the thing doesn't look too busy.
I also partly went down this road for the colour scheme as i figured it would counter balance and compliment the original Lou Scannon banner we use at comic conventions:
Proudly on display in Kris' house way back in 2011 I think...
My drawing has come a long way since that original banner but I think it's still alright!

As I often say, I hope to update this blog more this year... but it may actually be true now! I have a chance at a potentially awesome job coming up and if I land that, I may have some really ultra cool things to share! NDA permitting...

In the meantime, as if you didn't already know, if you want to keep more up to date with what I'm doing or see more regular art updates, I can be found via the following information:
